This two-tiered bento box is crafted from black-painted ash wood by Isuke, a long-established Kyoto lacquerware maker with more than 180 years of history. Designed in a simple rectangular style, it reflects the elegance of traditional Japanese craftsmanship while offering ample space for a satisfying meal. The smooth wood grain gives each piece its own subtle character, making it both functional and beautiful.
The two stacked compartments allow you to separate rice, main dishes, and sides with ease. Because it’s made of natural wood, the box is lightweight yet sturdy, and it helps balance moisture inside to keep food tasting fresh. Larger than standard bentos, it’s especially suited for hearty lunches.
The box is urethane-coated, using lacquerware techniques Isuke have been mastering for decades, and features a vibrant red divider to keep foods separate.
